About the role:
You will be responsible for assessing and providing treatments to patients with limited ability to carry out everyday activities due to illness, injury, or circumstances. This role offers meaningful work, building positive relationships within your community and helping clients regain independence.
Covering the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty, your responsibilities include:
* Working autonomously and closely with clients to identify problems, promote health and wellbeing, and facilitate rehabilitation
* Completing vocational rehabilitation, social, concussion, and general rehabilitation/assessment under community contracts
* Ensuring clients have the opportunity to regain optimal function and empowering them to manage their issues
* Providing assessment and rehabilitation services in community and clinic settings under various contracts
* Offering client education, equipment recommendations, and occupational therapy expertise
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to formulate rehabilitation pathways
* Completing reporting requirements for funding agencies
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
* A current Occupational Therapy tertiary degree (post-graduate certificates or diplomas are desirable but not essential)
* A can-do attitude and solution-focused mindset
* The ability to motivate, empower, and inspire patients
* A clean and full driver’s license
