Job title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings Services Location: Preston - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing: Able to provide technical input to multidisciplinary project teams and manage own workload with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines Provide electrical support to projects from concept to completion through RIBA Stages 1 to 7 in-line with relevant guidance such as British Standards, CIBSE Guides etc. including reports, technical specifications, technical drawings etc Participate in design reviews as required and attend engineering and project meetings: manage actions arising as required Undertake engineering feasibility assessments, preliminary designs and reports within own sphere of responsibility to professional standards of quality to meet target dates for delivery Contribute to the Engineering Lifecycle (ELC) process, Risk Management, Safety, Health & the Environment (SHE), Product Safety and wider project issues as directed Undertake condition/ feasibility surveys across a range of buildings/ sites and write technical reports Provide electrical engineering governance on design proposals (Internal & External), electrical installation during construction and in service electrical installations Your skills and experiences: Essential: Experience in the design and construction of construction projects (Electrical discipline), incorporating relevant Codes of Practice relating to design, installation and maintenance Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Project Demonstrate interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, partners and suppliers and when involved in team discussions. The Buildings Services team: Working as part of multi-discipline team of engineering and construction professionals providing engineering and construction expertise to existing and new buildings, sites and infrastructure across the BAE Systems portfolio. Provide subject matter expertise in the engineering and construction industry to all BAE Systems businesses such as Air, Maritime, Submarines, Digital Intelligence, Land etc. to support refurbishment, new build and remodelling projects ranging from small works to high value site master planning projects.
