We are seeking a motivated Graduate Building Services Design Engineer to join a well‑established consultancy based in the heart of Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate-or someone with up to two years of industry experience-to develop their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking design team.You will work on a variety of projects across commercial, residential, education, and mixed‑use sectors, contributing to the design and delivery of innovative, sustainable building services solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design of mechanical and/or electrical building services systems
* Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications
* Support senior engineers with project delivery from concept through to completion
* Carry out site visits, surveys, and inspections
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
* Contribute to sustainable and energy‑efficient design strategies
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices
Requirements
* Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Strong interest in building services design and sustainability
* Good understanding of engineering principles and design processes
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is beneficial.
