Civil Engineer - Building RelatedA leading international engineering and design consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its growing Building Design team. The business delivers high profile infrastructure and building projects across the UK and overseas, offering employees the opportunity to work on complex and technically challenging developments within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.This role offers flexible working arrangements, including remote working and access to offices across the UK. It presents an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to further develop their technical capability across drainage, infrastructure, utilities, and external works design within the buildings sector.The RoleThe successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, contributing to design work from concept through to construction.
The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams while taking responsibility for producing high quality engineering designs and technical documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver civil engineering designs for small to medium sized infrastructure and building projectsProduce designs in line with current UK standards, regulations, and best practiceDesign drainage systems, external works, utilities, roads, and car parksCollaborate within multidisciplinary design teamsManage workload effectively to meet project deadlinesEnsure compliance with quality assurance and technical proceduresWork in line with BIM standards and digital engineering practicesSupport project delivery through practical and innovative engineering solutionsEssential RequirementsMinimum 5 years' experience within Civil EngineeringStrong drainage design experienceExperience using InfoDrainage or Flow softwareRoads and car park design experienceProficient in Civil 3D and AutoCADExperience working on building related projects rather than highways or large infrastructure schemesGood understanding of UK design standards and regulationsStrong communication and report writing skillsAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teamsDesirable ExperienceDegree or HND in Civil Engineering or similar disciplineWorking towards or already achieved ICE ChartershipExperience with utilities, earthworks, access roads, and construction logisticsRevit/BIM 360 experienceExperience obtaining statutory approvalsAbility to work with minimal supervisionSC Clearance eligibilityFull UK Driving LicenceCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be proactive, practical, and solution focused, with a collaborative approach and strong attention to detail.
