About the role
We are seeking a strategic sales hunter to drive growth through partnership, utilising data‑led selling approaches to maximise revenue and partner enablement. The role reports to the Ignition Vendor Sales Manager and will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to partner sales teams across corporate, public sector, SMB and Enterprise.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Drive vendor revenue growth and profitability across UK‑based partners via resale and managed services.
* Act as a trusted strategic advisor to partner sales teams, positioning vendor solutions and the Ignition Technology value proposition.
* Achieve individual and team targets against agreed profit requirements.
* Serve as key contact for specified vendors, developing relationships at all levels and acting as an extension of their teams.
* Enable partner sales teams on vendor solution offerings and competitive differentiation.
* Conduct annual and quarterly business planning and review meetings with the channel ecosystem.
* Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to set and coordinate demand‑generation activity.
* Work proactively with channel and marketing teams to:
o Implement data‑driven selling strategies to identify and close opportunities.
o Develop end‑user lead generation programmes with resellers.
o Support sales and technical training programmes.
o Produce monthly sales forecast reports and statistics for Ignition and vendor management.
* Perform ad‑hoc duties as defined by the line manager.
* General capabilities required: Build and nurture relationships; network effectively within vendor and partner bases; articulate vendor messages to technical, commercial or financial audiences; adopt a research‑driven approach to each meeting; liaise with internal departments (Sales Ops, channel sales, marketing) to fulfil customer needs, arrange events, campaigns, demos, and quotes, driving partner‑sourced pipeline.
