The radiology department is one of the largest in the Trust, with approximately 500 staff, offering services including CT, MRI, Fluoro, Dxa, X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional radiology. It operates 24/7 to provide diagnostic imaging across Norfolk.
The department is proud of its Quality Standards for Imaging and British Standards 70000 accreditations, reflecting the high level of care provided. An extension to the department is the newly opened Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), located near the hospital, with staff working across both sites.

The NNUH CDC has recently opened, and the radiology department is working towards ensuring the CDC’s UKAS accreditation aligns with that of the radiology department. The department has maintained high standards for accreditation over the years and is committed to continuous improvement.
The postholder will play a key role in ensuring administrative tasks are performed within clinical governance frameworks to support UKAS accreditation readiness, including performance data analysis, equipment and protocol audits, and document management.
The first UKAS assessment for the CDC is scheduled for July 2026. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date data, documentation, spreadsheets, agendas, and evidence for accreditation visits and online submissions.
