This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. Who are Novus? Built in 2022, and costing £253m, this state of the art prison accommodates a male prison population. Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to: Hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe (Applies to Teachers in YOI only) Have experience in creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners Have previous track record showing achievement of quality targets Have successfully produced accurate and timely reports Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills Can motivate and enthuse learners Have organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets Demonstrate positive team working Benefits 40 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays 2 hours for wellbeing / personal development per week Significant Pension contributions Retail Discounts Employee Assistance Program Cycle to work scheme Safeguarding The LTE Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
