Overview
Search International are working with a respected and well-established manufacturing business who are looking for exceptional people to join their team and contribute to the future success of the business.
Responsibilities
* Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
* Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
* Undertake plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.
* Assist with small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley.
* Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
* Diagnostics are performed to identify faults, malfunctions or abnormalities to determine the root cause and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line back to production.
* Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Qualifications
* Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.
* At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
* Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
* Good communication skills and happy to work as part of a team or individually.
