To support this journey, we are looking for a proactive and commercially aware National Account Manager to work alongside our Strategic Account Director in shaping the success of some of our largest national accounts.
This role sits at the heart of our sales organisation and directly influences how major distributors position V12 to their wide and varied customer bases.
Your Role
As National Account Manager, you will help manage and develop key national strategic accounts - each with extensive branch networks, large sales teams and major market influence.
Your focus will be to build strong, productive relationships, support sales engagement, deliver product training, and ensure that national strategy turns into real regional pull‑through.
You will work closely with regional Business Development Managers to ensure every opportunity generated at national level is activated effectively across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Development
* Build strong, effective relationships with sales teams, branch managers and commercial stakeholders across national accounts
* Support the creation and delivery of joint business plans to accelerate category growth.
* Act as a trusted and accessible point of contact for day‑to‑day collaboration.
Sales Team Engagement & Training
* Deliver engaging training through Teams, phone-based sessions, and national face‑to‑face visits.
* Lead toolbox talks, workshops, group onboarding sessions, and lunch‑and‑learn meetings.
* Build sales team confidence by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to identify and convert opportunities.
Sales Enablement
* Support launch activity, promotional campaigns, and strategic initiatives across accounts.
* Provide objection‑handling guidance, value propositions, and enhanced sales support resources.
* Capture insights from the field and feed them into ongoing commercial strategy.
Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Build advocacy and engagement with category managers, product managers, internal and branch sales teams, and national/local account managers.
* Collaborate internally with marketing, operations, product, and customer service to ensure seamless execution.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
* Track account engagement, training impact, and sales pipeline progression.
* Report key trends, successes and development opportunities to the Strategic Account Director.
* Help improve national engagement metrics and overall account performance.
Key KPIs
