The Role

You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post. The Neonatal unit is a busy level 3 50 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. Working as a Staff Nurse within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

* Royal Hospital for Children
* The shift pattern for this post is on a rotational basis of long days and long nights, including public holidays
* Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part‑time hours
* This is a fixed‑term post until 18/04/2027


Key Responsibilities

* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate high‑quality nursing care for patients of varying dependency levels
* Maintain accurate, detailed patient records to agreed standards
* Contribute to developing programmes of care and advise junior staff on managing complex patient groups
* Provide individualised, family‑centred care that respects cultural and spiritual needs
* Support seamless care by promoting effective links between hospital and community services
* Delegate appropriately, considering staff capabilities and skill mix


Qualifications

* Registered Nurse on the NMC Register
* You must demonstrate evidence of ongoing clinical development and awareness of NHSGGC policies and strategies
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to write accurate reports and maintain high‑quality documentation
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload in a busy clinical environment
* Team‑working skills and the ability to recognise personal limitations
* You should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
