Overview
GE Aerospace is a world‑leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial aircraft. At the Caledonian Engine Overhaul site in Prestwick, the Lean Transformation Leader will lead the FLIGHT DECK Team to drive lean transformation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Coach, develop, and execute lean transformation plans, including Kaizen events, Value Stream Analysis, Standard Work, and other lean methodologies.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the site.
* Lead the site FLIGHT DECK team to collaborate cross‑functionally to identify and eliminate waste, improve processes, and enhance productivity.
* Engage, train, and mentor personnel on FLIGHT DECK principles and tools.
* Lead transformation initiatives linked to our value streams and flow line creation, ensuring these lines serve our customers internally and externally.
* Develop and maintain robust systems/processes that ensure sustainment and long‑term success.
* Deploy and uphold FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including standard work, visual management, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in operational management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
* Strong knowledge of lean principles such as Kaizen, Kata, Value Stream Analysis, 5S, and Standard Work.
* Excellent leadership and team‑building skills.
* Ability to influence, coach, and drive change across all levels of the organization.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safety and quality.
* Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification.
* Preferred: Experience in the aerospace industry.
* Preferred: Familiarity with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model.
* Preferred: Experience as part of a large site’s senior leadership team.
