Job Description
* Design and implement tailored electrical and software solutions for Syntegon packaging equipment, including legacy systems modernisation.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide engineering support to the field service team.
* Develop clear documentation for service interventions, upgrades, and project-related materials.
* Travel domestically and internationally to support installation and commissioning of modernisation projects.
* Integrate new control systems into existing machinery, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
* Assist the Electrical and Software engineering team with new customer projects and developments.
* Manage cost targets in design, purchase, and assembly whilst carrying out risk assessments on machinery.
* Ensure electrical aspects of machinery comply with European Community (CE), National Electric Code, Canadian Standards Association Codes, and Underwriters Laboratory requirements.
Specific Requirements
* Valid passport and driving licence.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
* 10+ years of extensive Electrical and Software Engineering experience, preferably in the Packaging industry
* Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD electrical or EPLAN, and programming using Rockwell, Beckhoff and Zenon software
* Working knowledge of applicable standards (CE, NFPA, CSA, UL) and safety performance levels
* Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
* Experience in design for manufacture and assembly, cost management, and servo motion technology
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (valid passport and driving licence required)
