Assistant Accountant – Hull – c£30,000 Chase & Holland are currently supporting a key client who are experiencing high levels of growth since becoming PE backed. Due to their continued growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role provides excellent scope for the right individual to really support in driving the efficiency of the Finance function and the chance to oversee and lead on initiatives to develop and streamline processes. Benefits Include: 25 days annual leave bank holidays Pension scheme AAT study support Free Parking Opportunity to join a growing business Assistant Accountant Responsibilities: Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger for the group, ensuring payments are made within agreed timeframes Responding to queries relating to sales and purchase ledger including non-payments and advising on processes to follow Analysing income and expenditure and supporting budget holders to identify cost saving initiatives Reconciling control accounts to trial balance and carrying out variance analysis Investigating any significant variances identified through reconciliations Preparing and posting journals on to the finance system including stock adjustment Supporting with payroll where required, liaising with HR to ensure accuracy of staff pay Maintaining and updating the finance system as necessary Required Skills & Experience: Sound experience in a varied accounts role including strong reconciliation skills Very strong communication skills both through written and verbal A driven and hard-working attitude Proficient in accounting software including Excel Ideally AAT level 4 qualified If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Assistant Accountant opportunity, please click ‘apply now’.Chase & Holland acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
