We at Supply Desk are seeking a Class Teacher with Key Stage 1 or 2 experience, who will be working with students at a lovely, Good school providing unconditional support.

The responsibilities of the Class Teacher:
* Teach all subjects to Key Stage 1 or 2 as required.
* Support students in SAT preparation.
* Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for KS1 or 2 pupils and stay updated on contemporary educational issues.
* Monitor teaching and learning activities in the classroom, take responsibility for a classroom, and ensure it remains conducive to high-quality education.
* Identify and teach skills that develop pupils’ ability to work independently.
* Be a class teacher with specific academic oversight and direct pastoral responsibility for a class.
* Prepare planning documentation in accordance with departmental schemes and policies.
* Utilise ICT in teaching and develop cross-curricular links.
Ideal Class Teacher:
* Qualified teacher status.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Experience in successful teaching in a relevant environment.
* Experience managing resources.
* Good historical SAT results.
* Awareness of current developments in education and their implications.
* Understanding of performance management processes.
* Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and evaluation.
* Interest in extending pupils' learning at all levels.
* Experience with classroom observations.
* Experience monitoring and evaluating teaching quality.
* Understanding characteristics of high achievement and their evaluation.
* Knowledge of target setting processes.
* Effective use of data to improve learning.
* Understanding of curriculum planning, assessment for learning, recording, and reporting to parents.
