Job Overview
We are looking for a self‑employed Personal Assistant (PA) to support a young woman in Shepshed. The role involves helping her maximise independence and meet her care needs while she recovers from a medical procedure that will require her to lay flat for six weeks.
Schedule
The PA will work approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours per day. Initially, support will be 3.5 hours daily during the six‑week recovery period, with afternoons preferred. Start times are negotiable.
Responsibilities
* Assist with meals and drinks
* Manage correspondence and appointments
* Help the client navigate the home safely
* Reduce levels of isolation and encourage community engagement over time
Qualifications & Requirements
* Reliable, responsible, patient and friendly
* Respect for privacy, dignity, values and beliefs of the client
* Comfortable working alongside cats
* Ability to work as a self‑employed contractor with the given schedule
Client Profile
Client is a young woman diagnosed with Ehlers‑Danlos syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), spontaneous intracranial hypotension due to spinal fluid leak, and CPTSD. She experiences high levels of pain and will need to lie flat during recovery.
