About the Role
This is a new position, and the company is willing to train candidates passionate about selling automation equipment. The Automation Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Director and focus on an existing CNC machine tool customer base. Responsibilities include:
* Selling automation products to new prospects and existing customers, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction
* Demonstrating the benefits of automation and identifying suitable products for customer applications
Responsibilities
As an Automation Sales Engineer, your duties will include:
* Focusing on standard automation systems within the company's portfolio
* Visiting end users to develop relationships and create opportunities
* Understanding customer needs and tailoring product solutions
* Preparing and delivering tailored presentations
* Proposing new manufacturing methods utilizing automation
* Demonstrating automation effectiveness to customers
* Updating CRM and preparing monthly reports
* Communicating technical limitations to the automation team
* Collaborating with the Sales Director and automation team
Candidate Profile
Candidates should have experience working in a machine tool environment, with a good understanding of CNC machines and machining processes. To succeed, you should:

* Possess strong communication skills and provide excellent customer service
* Be eager to transition from a machine shop environment into sales

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is £32,000 to £35,000 per annum, with additional benefits included.
