Terumo Aortic are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Custom Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of custom devices, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and development of custom devices
2. Manage and prioritise workload across a number of live custom device cases to meet strict deadlines
3. Innovation of new ideas & evaluation of concepts Problem solving
4. Process development and continuous improvement
5. Test development (Test protocols)
6. Verification & Validation
7. Risk Analysis
8. Report writing
9. Working to relevant quality standards
10. Generation of Engineering Drawings
11. Generation of Bills of Materials
12. Liaising with other relevant departments
13. Presenting to and participating in discussions with clinicians on technical and General design/process matters
Qualifications & Experience:
14. BEng/BSc (or Equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development Engineering or relevant discipline
15. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
16. Clear and efficient communication skills
17. Planning & organising skills with ability to work to deadlines
18. Effective decision maker
19. Effective presentation skills
20. Ability to document work in line with Design control & Quality systems including FMEA
21. Strong experience in relevant field
