Job Title: HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team based in Bristol. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary
1. Identify and manage risks related to onsite equipment, including critical spares, performance improvements, and environment conditions via the BMS system. Ensure efficient operation and preventative maintenance.
2. Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with clients on reactive and PPM tasks.
3. Fault find on HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on VRV air conditioning systems. Must have qualifications in handling refrigerants and F-Gas.
4. Support health and safety initiatives within the team.
5. Act as Energy Champion and Safety Champion for the site.
6. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
7. Write and follow risk assessments, ensuring safety and compliance.
8. Complete documentation as per rules and legislation.
9. Use mobile devices to document work via the CAFM system.
10. Plan daily work using email and calendars for efficiency.
11. Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers on building services issues.
12. Serve as responsible person for the team, deputizing for the site supervisor when needed.
13. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
14. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
15. Supervise and manage subcontractors.
16. Participate in an on-call rota for emergency responses outside normal hours.
Experience Required
* Recognized or Time Served Apprenticeship
* Proven experience in HVAC maintenance
* Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards
* Strong multi-skilled abilities
* Fault-finding skills
* Contractor supervision experience
* Ability to complete risk assessments and method statements
* Understanding of permits and safe systems of work
* F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use
Desirable Qualifications
* Working at Height Qualification
* IPAF/PASMA
* AP Qualifications
* BMS system experience
* HVAC controls knowledge
