Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Pay Rate:£90-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience working 1:1 with Primary aged children? We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join us at Tradewind. The children you could be supporting could have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD); Autism; Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADHD/ADD). Patience and resilience will be key in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support
2. Promote positive behaviour management strategies and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
3. Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the Class Teacher
4. Assist with classroom organisation and maintenance of resources
5. Support student's social and emotional development through effective communication and rapport-building
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working 1:1 with primary school children (highly preferable)
7. A patient and nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and development
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with staff
10. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the classroom and students
11. Basic knowledge of the national curriculum and educational practices
