Project Manager – Internal Refurbishment (Contract Role)

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major internal refurbishment project within a large warehouse environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced project, delivering high-quality results on a significant scheme.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a large-scale internal refurbishment, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
You will be reporting directly into the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, working collaboratively to drive project performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations and programme delivery
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain workflow
Maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
Control costs and support commercial reporting alongside QS
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale refurbishment or retail fit-out projects
Strong background delivering projects in live or fast-paced environments
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – essential
First Aid at Work qualification – essential
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive programme
