We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage our domiciliary care service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CQC standards, managing a dedicated care team, and developing effective policies and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality care.
A key part of this role is overseeing and implementing our Medication Policy, including:
* Leading on the STOMP campaign (Stopping Over Medication of People with a Learning Disability and/or Autism).
* Managing PRN (as required) medication safely and effectively.
* Ensuring compliance with best practice, legislation, and CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.
* Oversee the safe administration and monitoring of medication, ensuring staff are trained and compliant with policy.
* Implement and monitor STOMP principles within the service.
* Lead on PRN medication protocols and documentation.
* Ensure the service supports individuals with learning disabilities effectively, promoting choice, independence, and dignity.
* Maintain compliance with CQC standards and support inspections.
* Recruit, train, and supervise care staff to deliver high-quality care.
* Build strong relationships with service users, families, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Registered Manager experience in domiciliary/home care.
* Direct experience in learning disability services.
* Strong knowledge of Medication Policies, including PRN medication and STOMP.
* Understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
