Gen AI Engineer
Location: London
Experience Required: 8+ years
Responsibilities
* Design and implement end-to-end GenAI pipelines using LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
* Build RAG architectures with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search).
* Fine‑tune, evaluate, and optimize LLM outputs (prompt engineering, embeddings, guardrails).
* Develop AI solutions for financial document processing, regulatory compliance automation, conversational AI/chatbots for banking use cases.
* Build scalable data pipelines with Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.
* Design data lakes/lakehouse architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrate structured/unstructured data.
* Implement real‑time and batch processing frameworks.
* Deploy and manage GenAI solutions on Azure, implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, governance.
* Work with stakeholders to align solutions with risk & compliance, trading & portfolio analytics, fraud detection.
* Implement data lineage, quality and governance frameworks; apply Responsible AI principles (bias detection, explainability, auditability).
Qualifications
* 7+ years in data engineering or AI engineering.
* Strong Python and SQL expertise.
* Hands‑on with LLMs, GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases and embeddings.
* Experience with Spark, Databricks, distributed computing.
* Experience in REST APIs and microservices architecture.
* Cloud experience: Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP.
* Data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Delta Lake.
* DevOps: Git, CI/CD tools, Terraform.
* Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
* Financial services experience: Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, FinTech.
* Knowledge of market data, trade lifecycle, risk systems, regulatory reporting, KYC/AML.
Preferred
* Experience with Azure OpenAI, Copilot, Microsoft Fabric.
* Knowledge of knowledge graphs and semantic search.
* Exposure to stream processing (Kafka, Event Hub).
* Azure Data Engineer / AI Engineer, AWS Data/ML certifications.
* Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers.
