We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Youth Justice Service Officer to join a multi-disciplinary Youth Offending Team in Cambridgeshire.
This is a hands-on role working with young people across the criminal justice system, helping to reduce offending behaviours and support positive outcomes.
The Role
You’ll manage a varied caseload of young people across both community and custodial settings, including those entering and progressing through the court system.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting assessments and managing risk
* Developing and delivering intervention plans
* Writing reports for court and partner agencies
* Working closely with services including education, housing, substance misuse and psychology
* Supporting young people through rehabilitation and diversion from offending
This is a challenging but genuinely rewarding role where you’ll be making a real difference.
Requirements
* Diploma-level qualification or above in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Youth Work, Probation)
* Experience working within youth justice, offending services or similar environments
* Strong background in risk assessment, report writing and multi-agency working
* Ability to manage a complex caseload independently
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the county for visits
Working Arrangements
* Hybrid working – typically 1 day per week in the office
* Significant travel required across the county (home visits, partner agencies etc.)
