Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Higford School – Shropshire TF11 9ET
Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience) plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (£1,500 after one month and £1,500 upon completion of probation). T&C's apply.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, overlap with core school hours. Part-time hours may be considered.
Contract: Permanent (term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances).

The Role
Occupational Therapists will join the in‑house clinical team at Higford School, where you will assess and plan interventions for students, supporting independence and sensory processing. You will work with an OT assistant and Clinical Site Lead and deliver care within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working.
Responsibilities
* Hold an OT caseload and deliver assessments and interventions.
* Collaborate with education teams, OT assistants, and the Clinical Site Lead.
* Provide staff training and consultation as required.
* Maintain safeguarding culture and contribute to team performance.
* Engage in quality improvement and enhanced service delivery.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
* HCPC registered and member of RCOT.
* Relevant experience in settings such as LD, SEMH, neurodivergence.
* Knowledge of OT theory and practice.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary working and team performance responsibility.
* Experience communicating with families and carers.
* Strong communication, analytical, and judgement skills.
* Understanding of behaviour, communication, sensory, developmental, and legislative requirements.
* Good clinical reasoning and ability to express rationale.
* Willingness to travel on company business and work under pressure.
* Flexible, creative problem‑solving approach.
Desirable
* 3+ years practicing as an OT.
* Formal postgraduate study in Sensory Integration and/or developmental trauma/attachment.
