Job Purpose:
To support and coach carpentry apprentices throughout their training, ensuring they develop the technical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard. You’ll work closely with employers, curriculum teams, and learners to track progress, conduct reviews, and prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 coaching and progress reviews for carpentry apprentices (Levels 2 & 3).

Monitor and support the completion of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning.
*
Guide learners through portfolio development and evidence gathering.
*
Liaise with employers to ensure alignment between college delivery and workplace expectations.
*
Track learner progress using college systems and prepare reports as required.
*
Support apprentices with EPA readiness and employability skills.
*
Promote safeguarding, inclusivity, and safe working practices at all times.
Essential Criteria:
*
Industry experience in carpentry/joinery (minimum Level 3 qualification).
*
Understanding of apprenticeship standards and frameworks.
*
Excellent communication and coaching skills.
*
Ability to motivate and engage learners in diverse settings.
*
Enhanced DBS clearance
