Our client is a well-established, values-led and environmentally focused business, based in Surrey currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant. With recent investment and continued growth, the organisation is strengthening its group finance capability to support the next phase of development.
This is an opportunity for a technically strong, qualified Financial Accountant to support the Group Finance function, with ownership of capital expenditure and fleet accounting across the group.
The role offers broad exposure across group accounting, acquisitions and stakeholder management, working closely with senior finance leaders and operational teams including Fleet and IT.
What will the FP&A Manager role involve?
Provide group-wide technical financial accounting support, including responding to accounting queries and drafting accounting papers
Own capex, hire purchase and fleet accounting, including approvals, asset set-up, month-end processing and disposals
Deliver monthly capex reporting, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring spends against budget and reporting variances
Produce group cash flow forecasts and debt covenant reporting
Review statutory accounts and liaise with auditors, supporting year-end and audit processes
Act as a finance business partner to Fleet and IT, supporting acquisitions, improving controls and providing day-to-day guidance across the business
Suitable Candidate for the FP&A Manager vacancy:
ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
Proven ability to apply technical accounting in a practical, commercial environment, with capex experience an advantage
Strong systems and Excel capability, with experience improving processes and supporting acquisitions desirable
Confident communicator with a proactive, flexible approach, able to work across multiple sites with occasional UK travel
