Tradewind are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Islington from January 2026.
This role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD, helping them to stay focused, manage routines, and engage positively in their learning. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that promote concentration, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 classroom support to a pupil with ADHD
Implement behaviour management and focus strategies under guidance of SENCO
Adapt learning materials to meet the child's needs
Support social and emotional development
Maintain clear records and communicate progress with teachers and parents
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with ADHD or SEN (school-based preferred)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Availability to work full-time from January 2026
