c£40,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Bonus Sales Commission
Full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a forward thinking and expanding foodservice business. Based around Harrogate, Ripon and the wider North Yorkshire area, you will be responsible for developing and growing a territory across the North East.
This is a field based role, ideally suited to someone based in or around Harrogate, Ripon or North Yorkshire, with the flexibility to travel across the North East region.
This role is about more than sales. We are looking for someone who can build genuine relationships and act as a trusted partner to their clients, bringing insight into how foodservice solutions can help reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance the nutritional value of the products they provide.
What you will be doing
This is a fast moving role where no two days are the same.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and growing a portfolio of key customers
Winning new business and expanding your territory
Delivering against sales and margin targets
Building strong, lasting customer relationships
Advising clients on how to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance their food offering
Providing valuable insight into product quality and nutritional value
Identifying opportunities to increase product range and spend
Working collaboratively with internal teams
Supporting and driving company campaigns
Maintaining a consistent pipeline of opportunities
Providing excellent customer service
What we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware individual who thrives in a relationship led, target driven environment.
Experience in field sales, account management or business development
Strong ability to build and maintain long term relationships
A consultative approach with the confidence to offer insight and added value
Understanding of the foodservice, food delivery or hospitality sector
Ability to identify opportunities to help clients cut costs and improve quality
Strong communication and organisational skills
Results driven with a commercial mindset
Full UK driving licence
