The Role:
We have a vacancy for a Lead Retoucher (maternity cover) within our in-house team at Oh Polly. We're looking for someone who can support and mentor a talented team of retouchers as the company grows and continues to produce high-quality creative and e-commerce imagery.
The role will be divided into a mix of retouching, quality control, team development and process control. Demonstrating your skill with the technical aspects of retouching, you will complete tasks to best practice with a deadline-driven mentality.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Senior Visual Content & Retouching Manager, you will collaborate in keeping on top of project scopes, workloads, resourcing and project opportunities.
* Deliver retouch projects across a range of disciplines including Campaigns, E-commerce & Social Media in line with the latest Oh Polly guidelines.
* You will be constantly aware of targets and the business goals to achieve quality across a large shoot volume to strict deadlines.
* Communicating across all areas, you will build strong relationships with the Ecom shoot teams, creative, graphics designers and retouchers to communicate daily quality control issues, reshoots and priorities.
* Train, motivate and mentor team members, highlighting development opportunities to senior management to help support individual growth.
* Working closely with senior management to deliver the business goals, deliver assets on time and set daily priorities.
* Working ad hoc projects and working on a variety of projects when required.
* Developing and actively seeking up-to-the-minute editing techniques with a creative flair and passion for detail.
* Maintaining the highest level of attention to detail and quality control as possible.
Skills and Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in a similar role.
* Exceptional eye for detail, colour and grading with the ability to advise creative.
* Degree in Photography, Digital Arts or Graphic Design with Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite & Capture One.
* Ability to retouch a wide range of images that involve complex cleanup and colour correction.
* Proactive and able to show initiative to foresee/resolve issues related to post-production workflow.
* Must be organised and can manage personal workload while providing support to the Senior Visual Content & Retouching Manager.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to change priorities quickly and accept change with a positive attitude.
* Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
* Self-motivated, resourceful, hardworking with a positive attitude.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* 3D Software experience is a plus.
