We are looking for a volunteer to build a connection with the people we support at our supported living service in Hinkley and help them to access the local community. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services. You will get to know the people we support and understand their interests. You will consider local events and facilities which would be relevant to these interests and attend with people we support. This can include going for a walk, visiting a coffee shop or accessing local services such as the library. This role is for a supported living service which supports people with a range of mental health needs. We are currently supporting 10 people at this service, all living in their own flats. Volunteer duties: - Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries - Engage people we support in activities and accessing the local community - Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members - Understand and work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries - Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided Hours: Flexible days and times - weekends preferred
