A well-established GP practice in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate, confident and clinically skilled Practice Nurse to join its friendly and supportive primary care team. This position offers stability, excellent clinical variety, and the opportunity to work within a cohesive surgery committed to high-quality patient care.
The Opportunity
This role is perfect for an experienced Practice Nurse or a nurse transitioning into primary care with relevant treatment-room experience. You will work closely with the wider clinical team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred services within a busy yet supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Room Duties
* Childhood & adult immunisations
* Cervical screening
* Wound care & suture removal
* Travel vaccinations
* Venepuncture
* B12, contraception & routine injections
* NHS Health Checks
* ECGs, urine testing & basic observations
Chronic Disease Management
* Asthma reviews
* COPD reviews
* Diabetes management
* CHD monitoring
Additional Duties
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Support QOF and enhanced services
* Contribute to infection control and treatment-room safety
* Educate and support patients in health promotion
What We’re Looking For
* NMC-registered Nurse
* Experience in General Practice is desirable, but strong treatment-room skills will also be considered
* Confident in immunisations, screening and core nursing duties
* Strong communication skills with a patient-centred approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to professional development
