About the Role
We are looking for a qualified, experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop, reporting directly to the Workshop Manager. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven automotive environment. You'll work across servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance, ensuring every vehicle meets manufacturer standards and exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
* Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and management systems using modern diagnostic equipment
* Communicate with third-party technical support providers when necessary
* Create customer video reports detailing condition and recommended work
* Resolve defects and replace faulty parts efficiently
* Conduct road tests to ensure vehicles are fully operational and service indicators reset
* Maintain accurate service documentation and checklists
* Ensure workshop tools, stock, and equipment are safely stored and well-maintained
* Maintain clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
* Provide exceptional customer service with full accountability for quality of work
About You
* Qualified to City & Guilds, IMI, or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (minimum)
* High Voltage / Hybrid qualification advantageous
* MOT Tester certification desirable but not essential
* 5+ years' experience in a high-end automotive workshop
* Clean, full UK driving licence
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
* Computer literate with experience in garage management software (TechMan, Microsoft Office preferred)
