As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts & Management Accountant to join our expanding team.
The Role
This is a hands-on position for an ambitious accountant who enjoys preparing accounts, producing management information, and ensuring compliance across a varied client portfolio. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will be responsible for delivering accurate statutory accounts, personal tax returns, and management accounts, while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Statutory Accounts: Prepare annual accounts for a diverse range of clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery.
* Personal Tax: Prepare and submit personal tax returns in line with HMRC requirements and deadlines.
* Management Accounts: Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing valuable insights to support client decision-making.
* Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients and partners regarding queries, progress updates, and financial matters.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.
* Performance: Meet individual and team KPIs by working efficiently and proactively.
* Client Service: Deliver an excellent standard of service by managing deadlines, responding promptly to queries, and consistently adding value.
What We're Looking For
* AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified/qualified (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a practice environment
* Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax compliance
* Proven experience preparing management accounts
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Organised, proactive, and motivated by performance targets
* Confident with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
