Locum Occupational Therapist – North Powys (Wales)
* Tripod are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in North Powys County Council.

* Working across the beautiful rural communities of North Powys, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred assessments and interventions that help people overcome barriers in their daily lives.
* You will work with adults of all ages who may have physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, frailty, or other complex needs, providing practical solutions that promote wellbeing, dignity, and independence.
* As part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include carrying out occupational therapy assessments, recommending and arranging specialist equipment, advising on housing adaptations, and developing tailored support plans that meet individual needs.
* You will work closely with service users, carers, healthcare professionals, housing providers, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated and effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake holistic occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
* Recommend and facilitate the provision of equipment and minor or major adaptations.
* Support individuals to maximise independence and reduce risks within the home environment.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to person-centred care planning.
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
* Experience working within adult social care or community-based services.
* Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across rural communities.
