As our Assistant Director of Repairs Strategy & Improvement, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and driving the transformation of Peabody’s repairs service. From delivering large-scale change programmes to embedding data-driven decision-making and commercial excellence, you’ll be at the heart of a modern, resident-focused operation. Working closely with the Director of Repairs and key internal teams, you’ll lead innovation, streamline performance, and champion improvements that enhance both service quality and resident experience. You’ll be accountable for: * Leading high-impact transformation and performance improvement initiatives across the repairs service. * Overseeing multimillion-pound contracts, ensuring value for money and outstanding service delivery. * Aligning data and systems to enhance compliance, insight, and operational efficiency. * Embedding commercial controls that steer budget planning and investment based on real-time data. * Ensuring compliance and quality through robust record keeping and risk management. * Developing and nurturing a high-performing team, empowering them to innovate and improve. To be successful in this role, you’ll have: * Proven experience leading strategic change in the housing or repairs sector. * Deep expertise in data analysis, financial oversight, and commercial programme management. * A history of successfully managing diverse and multidisciplinary teams. * Exceptional stakeholder and contract management skills. * A creative mindset with a passion for simplifying complexity and delivering tangible outcomes. * A strategic view with operational depth — balancing vision with hands-on improvement. You’ll report directly to the Director of Repairs and work alongside peers and partners including contractors, data teams, and performance leads.
