Position: Lunchbreak Supervisor and Site Assistant

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (10 hours/week), Term Time

Pay Scale: Grade 13 £24,796 per annum FTE (£5,616 pro rata)

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Lyde Green Community School opens in September 2026. We are looking for a reliable, proactive and approachable Lunchtime Supervisor and Site Assistant to join our founding team.

This is a varied and practical role combining supervision of learners during lunchtime with supporting the cleanliness, safety and presentation of the school site. In the early years, the role will be flexible and collaborative, with everyone working together to establish strong routines and systems. As the school grows, the role will develop, with an increasing focus on lunchtime supervision.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise learners during lunchtime across indoor and outdoor spaces

•Promote positive behaviour and ensure a calm, safe environment

•Support learners to follow routines during dining and social times

•Carry out routine checks of toilets and welfare areas

•Refill consumables such as soap, toilet roll and paper towels

•Undertake light cleaning duties, including responding to spillages

•Maintain a clean, safe and orderly school environment

•Report maintenance, cleanliness or health and safety concerns promptly

•Build positive relationships with learners as a visible and approachable adult
