I am seeking housing Support Workers to work in services in a mental health service in Abertillery. Emotional and Psychological Support Provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to talk about their feelings and experiences. Offer reassurance, active listening, and encouragement to promote self-esteem and confidence. Help clients cope with symptoms such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, or mood instability. 2. Practical Daily Living Support Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, shopping, attending appointments, and medication routines. Support clients with managing their finances, benefits, and bills. Encourage healthy routines like sleep hygiene, diet, and exercise. 3. Supporting Recovery Plans Work with mental health professionals to implement individual care or recovery plans. Help clients set and achieve personal goals (e.g., returning to education or employment, rebuilding relationships). Monitor mental health status and report changes to the relevant healthcare professionals. 4. Promoting Social Inclusion Encourage clients to engage in social activities and community resources to reduce isolation. Support clients in developing or rebuilding social and family connections. Facilitate access to education, volunteering, or employment opportunities. 5. Crisis Support and Risk Management Identify early warning signs of deterioration or relapse and act quickly to prevent crisis. Respond appropriately in emergencies, including contacting crisis teams or emergency services. Follow safeguarding procedures to protect clients and others from harm. To be successful in this role you must: Have atleast 6 months of experience working within a social care setting Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one The right to work in the UK
