Commissioning Engineer – Industrial Refrigeration\n\nLocation: Northampton\nContract: Full-time, Permanent (38 hrs/week, Mon–Fri incl. lunch break)\nBase Salary: Up to £57,400 (flexible for the right candidate)\n\nAbout the Role\n\n * Join our Industrial Refrigeration (IREF) team, delivering commissioning solutions across the UK & Ireland. You'll lead system start-up and performance checks for major commercial and industrial clients—working with SABROE, Frick, and York OEM systems.\n\n * You’ll work closely with Project Managers to ensure systems are commissioned safely, on time, and to spec, including plant setup, controls, pipework, and refrigerant charging.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Commission industrial refrigeration systems (HFC, CO₂, Ammonia)\n\n * Align commissioning with project scope, timeline, and safety standards\n\n * Set up refrigeration charges, controls, and equipment\n\n * Act as main on-site technical contact\n\n * Support project managers, suppliers, and contractors\n\n * Complete documentation and performance reporting\n\n * Travel required across UK & Ireland\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n\n * 5+ years in industrial refrigeration (commissioning or maintenance)\n\n * Strong knowledge of Ammonia, CO₂, HFC systems\n\n * Familiar with pumped overfeed, cascade, and two-stage setups\n\n * Able to read electrical and control schematics\n\n * F-Gas and Ammonia certification\n\n * Knowledge of CDM regulations\n\n * Good communication and problem-solving skills\n\n * Flexible to travel nationally\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive salary + paid overtime\n\n * Company car, phone & IT kit\n\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * Life assurance (3x salary)\n\n * Training & career development\n\n * Supportive, safety-first work culture\n\nIf this role is an interest click to apply
