The Partnerships & Change (P&C) directorate defines, supports and delivers the UKSBS portfolio of change, owning change management processes and partnership relationships and delivering the underpinning professional expertise. The directorate leads the organisation’s strategic relationships with our clients, onboarding and offboarding, the development of future services, as well as providing enterprise architecture and business analysis capability.
As a Programme and Project Planner you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of programme plans, project plans and dependency logs for our Sub-Portfolio of Major Change. This is a key development area for UKSBS including the implementation of two major ERP systems, onboarding new clients to our service and preparing risk mitigation plans, as well as existing business as usual projects and programmes.
To do this role you will need:
1. Proven track record of leading project planning or scheduling for increasingly larger and more complex initiatives, demonstrating expertise in navigating and managing large-scale projects efficiently.
2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Project, with a strong foundation in project planning or project controls processes.
3. In-depth experience of implementing and executing project planning processes, skilled in crafting detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and identifying critical paths to ensure project success.
4. Experience of creating and maintaining planning models, that link to other corporate tools (e.g., resource planning and time sheeting systems).
5. Mindset for ensuring quality and consistency in both detail of analysis and overall plan structure and content.
6. Experience of reporting and presenting plans, tasks, resources and finances as part of the communication and impact of revisions and updates.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and extract relevant information.
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am – 6pm, or part time hours to suit. Our team usually work from home and come into the office once or twice a week or 20% of your time each month.
