About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mounter to join our team of expert craftspeople. In this role, you will be responsible for the intricate finishing and refinement of jewellery made from precious metals. Your expertise will be key in delivering products to exacting standards and achieving flawless results. You will work on both bespoke commissions and high-volume production, ensuring precise adherence to design specifications whilst meeting customer deadlines.
This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional to work with cutting-edge technologies like CAD, 3D printing, and laser welding, as well as collaborate closely with designers to bring concepts to life with impeccable detail and craftsmanship.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work from detailed technical CAD drawings and product specifications to produce jewellery pieces that meet exacting finishing standards and dimensional tolerances.
2. De-sprue, buff, and solder cast components to create high-end bridal jewellery; be adept at assembling multi-part mounts using flame and laser welding techniques to provide seamless joins.
3. Work independently to meet daily targets and maintain production workflow.
4. Review and assess 3D printed models, offering precise time estimates and actionable feedback to CAD designers for necessary adjustments to support exceptional design creation for bespoke and production pieces.
5. Use advanced laser techniques for resizing, repairing, and finishing rings, ensuring a flawless outcome with minimal disruption to the piece's integrity.
6. Polish, refine, and finish pieces to the highest aesthetic standards, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
7. Perform daily casting checks to support the delivery of high-quality cast products to our customers, tasks include laser repairs, de-sprue, and buffing.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are in excellent condition and ready for use at all times.

1. Extensive experience in jewellery bench work, with a focus on production from castings, finishing, and intricate handcrafting.
2. Advanced knowledge of soldering techniques and laser welding.
3. Strong understanding of CAD and 3D printing methods, with experience reviewing and refining digital models.

Salary
* Negotiable/dependent on experience
Working Hours
* 37.5 hours per week, 07:15 am – 15:15 pm / 8:00 am – 16:00 pm
