We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our team at Whitgift House. About the role As a Night Care Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of person-centred care and support for residents with their daily living needs, promoting dignity, comfort, and independence. Key Areas of Responsibility To provide service users with support and assistance as they accomplish activities of daily living. To ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing. To contribute to the efficient running of the service. To support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community. To ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed. To be responsible for informing the Night Team Leader (Nursing) of any changes in the needs of service users. To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the service users they support. To support service users with Chronic or Acute conditions. Working with Others: To develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service. To work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users. To maintain and develop relationships with the service user’s family, friends and other people important in their life, if desired by the service user. To operate under the guidance of the Registered Nurse at all times. Personal and Professional Development: To understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the CQC and its requirements. To commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role. To attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management. To understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role. To adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England
