We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Yorkshire Region, working across our West Yorkshire sites, which include HMP Leeds (category B remand), HMP Wakefield (category A high secure prison), and HMP Wealstun (category C prison). Working across multiple sites offers you a varied work schedule and patient group. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across all three sites, including other Psychiatrists.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm. We can offer some flexibility with shift times if required.
Salary
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with an annual salary up to £189,900, depending on experience.

* You will be part of a team of over 15 experienced and supportive Consultant Psychiatrists.
* You will attend monthly Consultant meetings and receive 1:1 clinical supervision.
* Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course.

What you'll be doing:
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on your caseload onsite.
* Participating in the strategic direction of the mental health service, leading senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and providing clinical supervision.
* Reviewing referrals, determining appropriate treatment plans, conducting risk assessments, and engaging in complex case reviews with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications required:
* Current GMC registration.
* Specialist registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry, approved under section 12(2) of the MHS 1983.
* Understanding of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working complexities.
* Up-to-date knowledge of adult psychiatry, mental health service policies, and legislation.
