Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the correct accounts.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
5. Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring deadlines are met.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the purchase ledger system.
7. Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and issues.
8. Assist with month-end processes and reporting as required.
9. Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc duties.
10. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and controls.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
11. Previous experience in a purchase ledger role
12. Knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
13. Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
17. A proactive and problem-solving approach to work.
