This Technical Program Manager III role is part of our ML Platform team. This team sits within our Platform Engineering organization and is responsible for implementing capabilities and processes that enable ml and non-ml practitioners to build and deliver ML Services. As the Technical Program Manager, you will lead and support key initiatives across our AI/ML platform.
In This Role, You Will
* Lead the ML Platform development lifecycle from ideation to launch
* Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and work with ML Community to translate them into technical specifications
* Build and communicate a roadmap of planned and potential work
* Manage the development team's backlog and drive delivery end-to-end through agile methodologies
* Own proactive risk & dependency management
* Keep partners and leaders informed of progress or changes to scope and project schedule
* Monitor and analyze product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and optimization
* Define and report key results and team's performance metrics
* Assess bottlenecks in work processes to streamline and simplify workflow
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
* Prior experience as a Technical Program Manager: 5+ years with a Bachelor's, 3+ years with a Master's
* Background and experience in driving delivery of sophisticated ML products or ML platforms
* Passion, expertise, and experience in machine learning, and building complex software systems
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion
* Ability to take complex business problems and break them down into simple and elegant solutions
* Experience in building clear, concise, and well-structured functional material (e.g., policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, etc.)
* Ability to communicate a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners about the products and services produced by the team
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in platform engineering is a plus
* Working knowledge of ML workflows and tooling (e.g., feature stores, model registries, experiment tracking, evaluation/observability, vector search, RAG, LLMOps) and data engineering (batch/streaming, orchestration, lineage)
* Experience driving responsible AI programs and compliance with AI governance frameworks and policies; partnering with Legal, Privacy, and Security to operationalize controls
