Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to join a secondary SEMH school in Bilston on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a specialist educational setting.
About the Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, helping to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
You will work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to create a structured and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
Differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs
Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
Monitor and assess pupil progress
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and pastoral staff
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Experience working with SEMH pupils or challenging behaviour desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
