Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Accrington.
About the Role:
As a TA2, you’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs. Your role will involve:
* Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom to access learning
* Implementing EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
* Building positive relationships with children, staff, and families
* Helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
We Are Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
* A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach
* A team player with a proactive and caring attitude
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child development
