The Opportunity:
We are recruiting a CAD Processing Technician to join our Subsurface Engineering department based in Watford. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant experience to work in the dynamic geospatial industry. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department with options for hybrid working (applicants across the wider UK are welcome).
What will I be doing in my new role?
* Supporting Senior CAD Technicians and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards (Geospatial Certainty).
* Understanding and promoting health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
* Communicating professionally with colleagues and clients, maintaining commercial awareness.
* Training and mentoring junior staff members.
* Coordinating with field teams.
* Following established workflows, naming conventions, and document control procedures.
* Working with scales and tolerances.
* Applying RICS and PAS128 drawing guidelines.
* Producing 2D plans and 3D wireframe models.
* Managing model libraries, blocks, and cross-referencing drawings.
Requirements of the role:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience with AutoCAD & CIVIL 3D.
* Experience with RICS and PAS128 drawing guidelines.
* Ability to produce 2D plans and 3D wireframe models.
* Experience with model libraries, blocks, and cross-referencing drawings.
* Proficiency in MicroStation is highly desirable.
* Background in surveying, engineering, or geomatics.
* Understanding of surveying principles such as traverse; control works is a plus.
* Organized, methodical problem-solving skills with proven experience.
