About the Role
We are working with a leading, award-winning national housebuilder to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to join their expanding technical team. This developer is widely recognised for delivering high-quality, design-led residential schemes across the UK, with a strong reputation for excellence, stability, and long-term career progression.
Due to continued growth and an active pipeline of new developments, they are seeking a Project Engineer who can play a key role in supporting infrastructure delivery and ensuring technical consistency across multiple residential projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the Project Engineer will oversee external consultants while also producing or amending civil engineering designs where required. You will act as a key technical coordinator for assigned developments, ensuring designs are compliant, commercially viable, and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee external consultants to ensure all civil engineering designs meet technical, commercial, and company standards
* Produce or amend engineering designs when required
* Manage civil engineering delivery across several residential developments
* Liaise with contractors, local authorities, utility providers, and external consultants
* Prepare and coordinate technical approvals, including Section 104, 38, and 278 agreements
* Support planning applications and technical submissions
* Prepare and review groundwork tender packages
* Ensure engineering elements of the project remain on programme
* Provide technical support from land acquisition through to site completion
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience
* Strong knowledge of residential development and infrastructure design
* Proven experience with Section 104, 38, and 278 agreements
* Ability to manage external consultants and coordinate technical information
* Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with local authorities
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
