Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Duties
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
* Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in accordance with recipes and presentation guidelines
* Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness standards within the kitchen
* Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
* Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
* Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving procedures to uphold consistency and excellence
* Monitor cooking processes to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours
* Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests by maintaining high standards of hospitality and service
Requirements
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
* Demonstrated team management abilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff to perform at their best
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
* Experience in menu development, food production, and controlling kitchen costs
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
* Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team and collaborate with front-of-house staff
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
