About Our Client

Job Description
3. Manage and process all nominal ledger activity relating to the purchase ledger, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
4. Reconcile school bank accounts in a timely manner, ensuring expenditure and income is allocated according to the School's chart of accounts.
5. Produce monthly management accounts (utilising school templates) for governors, including explaining budget variances and updating future financial forecasts.
6. Manage the month end procedure for the accounts including prepayments, accruals and salary journals.
7. Ensure compliance with Financial Policies & Procedures including delegation limits, authorisation processes and such others.
8. Assist the Bursar in the production of the annual budget.
9. Proactively work with budget holders to report and expenditure and manage variances, including developing a more effective method of expenditure communication (i.e. introduction of formal purchase order system).
10. Manage the termly fee billing process and debt collection through preparing bills using our pupil management system with guidance from the Bursar.
11. Manage the School's direct debit collection service, ensuring records are kept up to date, that the School complies with the direct debit scheme, and that monthly and termly collections are processed in a timely manner.
12. Support the Bursar in the production of the Statutory Accounts, including preparing all management accounts following an agreed year end process.
13. Support the Bursar in compliance with statutory filing for both Companies House & the Charities Commission.
14. Work with the School's auditor to complete the annual audit, including supporting the Bursar in updating the School's going concern model.
15. Administer the Early Years Free Entitlement Nursery Education Scheme.
16. Administer all paperwork for School joiners, including collecting and processing direct debit guarantees, early year grant forms etc.
17. Assist the Bursar in preparation for Governor meetings including occasional attendance at said meetings.
